How to Transform Your Mornings from Sluggish to Insane Productivity

I have never been a morning person. Ever. In fact I have always struggled with waking up in the mornings. When my children were babies, they would wake me up multiple times a night for 2 years! I was so exhausted. Once I was finally able to sleep, I would sleep till the last possible minute. This led to me being cranky, groggy, and always rushing in the morning to get myself and my kids ready. I didn’t realize it, but this also impacted my relationship with my kids because I was too busy to slow down, be present, and give them undivided attention for very long at all.

Jump forward to the end of last year. I experienced a deep transformation and breakthrough with my coach Deb Erickson in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I was ready to finally leave playing small behind, and embrace playing BIG. Only thing was, I had a surgery on 1/2. I knew that I would need some time to recover from that before I would be back at 100%. A few days after my surgery, I went to lay down and rest. My mind started firing off all this inspiration. I knew that I needed to change something I did EVERY DAY, so that I could have the success and progress I am working toward this year. I knew I needed to wake up. I grabbed my phone and wrote in my memo a new schedule for me to start 3 weeks after my surgery. It began with waking up at 5 am to shower, do personal develpment for an hour, then go LIVE to be accountable, as well as share with others the things I am learning. All before the kids wake up!

The first day I expected to be really exhausted, but I wasn’t! I had one of the most productive days I have had in a long time! Each day continued to be that way. It seemed as if I was getting triggered less, and I noticed that fear wasn’t present as often. This was HUGE! A week and a half after I started this, I saw in our Audio book list a book called The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. It peaked my interest. I read it and was blown away by it! I didn’t realize what I was doing was a miracle morning, or that it was a thing! It helped to refine and improve my morning success ritual. Over the last 30 days, my attitude, focus, and energy has completely changed for the better! I can’t recommend enough how impactful it is to get up earlier in the morning to prepare yourself to tackle your day!!
